After Joseph, the people of Egypt disliked the so called 'Israelites' and started killing all the baby boy Israelites as they could be a threat to the throne. God had said to Moses to go to pharaoh and tell him to let his people go. God had also told Moses that he wasn't going to listen and that they would have to give the people of Egypt ten plagues.
